Mark Cudak (mark.cudak@nokia-bell-labs.com) is a Nokia Bell Labs Fellow and a Department Head in the Radio Interface Group with Nokia Standards in Chicago.  He leads a team focusing on air-interface evolution studying system performance, link performance, transceiver architectures, network architectures and deployment scenarios. He and his team are active in the 3GPP and Open RAN standards working on topics associated with the physical layer. His recent 3GPP work includes topics such as Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) and NR beyond 52.6 GHz.  Prior to joining Nokia in 2011, Mark was with Motorola for 20 years where he worked on a variety of wireless data systems including APCO 25 and cellular standards from 2G to 4G. Mark has over 40 issued patents, was a Motorola Dan Noble Fellow and holds a M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Stephen Hayes (stephen.hayes@ericsson.com) is the Vice President of Standards for Ericsson for the Americas.  He has worked on various cellular issues over the last 30 years and been heavily involved in the evolution of the 3GPP family of technologies.  His current focus includes the ATIS committees and 3GPP.  He is also involved in several US advisory groups such as the FCC TAC (Technical Advisory Committee).

Stephen was vice-chair of 3GPP TSG-RAN from 2018-2021 and chair of the 3GPP systems group (3GPP-SA) from 2006- 2011. Before that, Stephen was the chair of the Core Network group in 3GPP.  Stephen is currently the vice-chair of the ATIS Next-G Technology Working Group.
